ScentBlocker Hunting Apparel

Buying and wearing hunting camo might be considered one of the basic steps when preparing to set up for a hunting trip. But there are some products that can actually help with getting as close as possible to the game you are hunting. Scent reducing or blocking apparel is the latest field that is hitting the market and there are a number of different brands that offers the hunter the ultimate in scent masking clothes. Some have claimed too much and the courts have gotten involved.

One that has come through it with their name intact is ScentBlocker.

It seems that one of the attractions to the ScentBlocker clothing could be the names that have been given to the various types of jackets and pants. Who wouldn’t want to be wearing a ScentBlocker Freak Nasty jacket or ScentBlocker Mack Daddy pants? But putting the names aside, the clothes can play a big part in the success of your hunting trip.

There has been some dispute to the claim that ScentBlocker hunting apparel can actually do the things that the company claims it can do. Essentially, the claims that the ScentBlocker clothing can absorb human odor have been upheld by a court ruling.

There have been a lot of tests done on ScentBlocker products and they have proven that human odor is effectively blocked thanks to the carbon-infused fabrics that are used in the manufacture of the clothes. The odor protection is continually regenerated to provide ongoing performance after washing and drying in a household dryer.

There were a few other rulings that were made by the court during the decision that was handed down a few years ago. The courts found that ScentBlocker products contain more carbon than competitors, that the carbon is applied to the garments in a unique fashion and that the tests produce superior results when ScentBlocker apparel is used compared to either carbon or non-carbon apparel.

The point that was made as part of the ruling was that some companies were making outlandish claims as to the ability of certain items of clothing to eliminate human odor. Some were claiming that it was eliminated completely and that the clothes themselves were responsible for that. What has been found is that ScentBlocker clothes absorb odor at levels much higher than competitors but doesn’t completely eliminate them.

The technology that is responsible for the higher levels of human odor elimination has been given the name Cold Fusion by Robinson Outdoor Products, the company that makes ScentBlocker products. It now has the backing of a court ruling that has confirmed that it delivers on the claims that were made about the products, something that should give hunters confidence over when they are deciding on which hunting camo to buy.
